My name is Anthony J. Murray Steffens. I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on July 17, 1970. I never studied art, took a single class, or joined the academic art world. I hold deep respect and admiration for those who have dedicated their lives to mastering their craft. I am a lawyer by profession, who began painting three years ago, a short but transformative period that reshaped my life. Through my journey, I hope to share vital messages and life lessons. 

First, art is universal, transcending age, gender, education, or political beliefs. It unites us, and only together can we drive meaningful change. 

Second, I stand for the countless individuals who live without discovering their hidden talents, convinced they lack the ability and never daring to try. If my story inspires even one person to uncover a buried gift, it is worth it. I found art within myself, and know we are all artists at heart.

Finally, my story is one of resilience, with art playing a pivotal role in pulling me from the brink.
