Red Eye | Acrylic and ink on canvas | 28” x 66”
Born from my line “the witching hour always triggered my proclivities,” this piece captures the mystical midnight hours that fuel my creativity.
In Red Eye, an acrylic and ink cityscape, towering alcohol-bottle buildings descend from a low-flying plane, their glass bodies glowing in emerald, sapphire, and amber. Ink spills like liquor across textured layers, conjuring neon streets, shattered glass stars, and the electric pulse of perilous youthful nights.
It honors 3 a.m. inspiration—when the world sleeps and desire ignites—but warns of collapse: these fragile towers reflect how excess consumes the self. Insomnia turns into alchemy, raw vulnerability forged into untamed art.
